There are various ways in which you can become involved with the museum.

You may wish to give up some of your time to help us by becoming a volunteer – there are lots of different types of volunteering opportunities available.

If you work for a large organisation you could benefit from our Corporate Membership scheme which we run in conjunction with Edinburgh Butterfly and Insect World. As well as entry to passes to both attractions we also offer addition benefits such as discounted facility hire and early notification of events.

The "Friends of the National Mining Museum" is an independent organisation of people who support the museum and encourage its development. Friends’ benefits include an annual pass for the museum, regular talks and events, trips and a quarterly newsletter.
