The National Mining Museum Scotland is delighted to be part of the Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland Scheme!

The Breastfeeding Friendly Scheme (BFS) is across the whole of Scotland. The purpose of this scheme is to ensure breastfeeding mums know that if they see the sticker the establishment will make them feel welcome and be supportive of her feeding choice.

All staff at NMMS are delighted to be part of the Scheme and have taken part in a training session to learn more and to ensure we offer the warmest of welcomes to all parents! We understand that some Mum’s may want a private area and we’ve set up several spaces around the Museum for Mum’s to use, just ask any member of staff.

For more information, please visit Breastfeeding friendly venues map , which we are on too, or please visit Parentclub page which describes what the whole initiative is about and provides further links.
